Gala de Catch Wattrelos 2025

A Dream Comes True: Wrestling from Wattrelos!

On March 15, 2025, a very special dream came true for our cameraman Rico Reed L. Together with his video team, he travelled to Wattrelos in northern France to attend the Gala de Catch.

The wrestling promotion based there belongs to none other than French wrestling legend FLESH GORDON — the very wrestler who became one of Rico’s first great wrestling heroes back in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when professional wrestling was still being broadcast on Eurosport in Germany, long before the great WWF/WWE boom.

During his visit to Wattrelos, Rico also had the opportunity to meet another wrestling legend: Prince Zefy.

But Rico brought more than just personal memories home from this very special trip. He also brought back the complete Gala de Catch — and now the entire show is available here on the WrestlingKanal.

French Catch Wrestling – straight from Wattrelos. A piece of wrestling history, preserved for the WrestlingKanal!
